Effective Dog Training Aids

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Just because you may not be entering your dog into any competitions, this doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t still be trained. Even house dogs need to have some obedience and other training, to make them the best dog they can be. You want to have a dog that’s a joy to be around and not one that you’re constantly having to discipline. Any dog can be trained regardless of their age and breed.

One of the most common problems that house dogs have is they go to the bathroom inside of the home. This is a very common problem among dogs and although it can be frustrating you need to have patience. Especially if the dog is quite young, six months or less, the problem could just be temporary. Puppies actually don’t have full control of their bowels until they are over six months so this may be a very simple problem and you’ll just have to continue working on it with them.

At nighttime for instance it’s best to keep the collar off the dark, so they can bark at intruders. There is also the training dumbbell which works well. This is a training aid that’s used for training hunting dogs because it works on their retrieval skills. You throw it and the dog should run after it, retrieve it and bring it back to you.

In order for any business to have success, effective marketing strategies must be enforced. You can even get business by word of mouth when you visit your local dog grooming stations, vet clinics and even parties or get togethers of your friends and family. Always treat every dog special and be nice to them. Some dogs are going to present more of a challenge than others, so patience is another quality you must have.

If this doesn’t work try putting them outside when they bark and see if this helps. After this it would be wise to bring the dog to the vet to make sure that they’re in good health and don’t have any health conditions that are causing them pain. These are just a few of the most basic home dog training tips. Training your dog to be well behaved is important so you can enjoy going out with them, bring them out to public places and have a great life together.
